Process Engineer
Pay Range: $75,000.00-$80,000.00/year

Overall Responsibility
The Process Engineer in collaboration with the senior management team will be responsible for the development, and implementation of integrated systems for managing CES’ production processes including human work factors, cost and quote analysis, and production coordination and workflow.
Duties And Responsibilities
· Extensive knowledge of entire transformer manufacturing process of distribution and power transformers
· Fundamental knowledge of transformer parts, design, troubleshooting and failure analysis
· Develop, implement and update Manufacturing Procedures (MP), Work Instructions (WI) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
· Evaluate and improve order to ship Value Stream for improvements in yields.
· Analyze and Map Out Current Production System
· Analyze existing production flow and determine where improvements can be made.
· Design and Implement an Auditable System using our ERP – NetSuite for measuring production by the department. The daily reporting capability is a must.
· Lead Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA / Control Plan) creation and updates (with supplier participation).
· Design and implement changes to reduce cycle and lead times in production. Develop manufacturing methods, labour utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and factory. Enhance visibility and transparency of data.
· Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine and improve worker functions and responsibilities.
· Enhance capacity and capability utilization yields – systemize and align with ERP – NetSuite.
· Create assembly/process flow charts or supervision of supplier assembly flow charts creation for manufacturing or rework activities.
· Develop in-depth knowledge of our supply base; strengths and weaknesses of internal procedures and business processes; strengths and weaknesses of equipment; and the strengths and weaknesses of key personnel who contribute to the quality of the products and services offered by the organization.
· Ensure that all assembly processes operate within lean manufacturing principles (Value Stream Mapping, Five S, and Kanban).
· Identify manufacturing process improvements to existing processes at Contract Manufacturer and tiered supplier base to include a cost-benefit analysis to allow senior evaluation and approval.
· Implement and manage annual Continuous Improvement program with measurable KPI’s
· Support the Quality department in the qualification and selection of new suppliers by inputting a thorough evaluation of the suppliers’ manufacturing capabilities.
· Conduct workflow analysis and make recommendations for improvement in material handling and shop layout.
· Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement.
· Create Engineering Change Notices (ECN) as related to manufacturing process improvements.
Qualifications
· Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Extensive knowledge of the entire transformer manufacturing process of distribution and power transformers
· Fundamental knowledge of transformer parts, design, troubleshooting and failure analysis
· 5-10 years of experience in a high voltage oil-filled or dry type transformer manufacturing or design environment.
· Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus
· Expertise in PFMEA and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
· Experience of participation in a product development team from inception to manufacturing launch
· Proven ability to create and execute project plans that have achieved the identified targets.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills.
· The ability to produce succinct reports/presentations to communicate status of assigned projects/tasks.
· A tenacious personality that will not let an issue be left unresolved.
· Strong leadership abilities, able to lead effective meetings.
· Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis and sound knowledge of ISO9001:2015
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalism.
· Sound technical background (hands-on) with a logical reasoning approach.
· Interest in developing technical skills through both internal and external training.
· Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time
· Strong working knowledge of NetSuite and standard OPS software packages.
· Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
· Self-starter with effective time management skills.
· Confident, consistent decisive personality
